CDC Issues Guidelines for Preventing Work-Related Crashes

Although not breaking news, it’s still shocking to be reminded that vehicle crashes are the leading cause of worker death in the US.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is taking steps to get these fatalities down. They recently released employer guidelines to keep workers safe when operating a motor vehicle on the job. Not surprisingly, their recommendations center around creating and implementing a comprehensive Driving Safety Program.

Even if you already have a Safety Program, the thorough checklist at the end helps you see how your program measures up. GreenRoad customers will find that a large chunk of the items are covered by the GreenRoad system.
