Euro Bus Expo 2012 (Archive)

We at GreenRoad were delighted to be part of another successful Euro Bus Expo last week.  Held at the NEC in Birmingham, we carried on our tradition of stand-sharing with insurance partner Belmont International, in prime position right opposite the show’s entrance.

Our main aim for the show was to meet with customers, prospects, partners and journalists alike to demonstrate some of the incredibly exciting product developments that we have revealed in the last year.  These include our NEW Advanced Fleet Tracking option, the NEW GreenRoad Smartphone edition, the GreenRoad Central Mobile App for managers and drivers – and sneak peeks at other things to come.

I manned the stand, along with key Account Manager Chris Deakin for all three days, with a rotation of additional GreenRoaders supporting us over the course of the show.  We had a steady stream of visitors throughout, with the GreenRoad Advanced Tracking option generating the most interest and demonstrations given on the plasma screens integrated into the stand.

The specific interest in GreenRoad Advanced Tracking from the bus and coach industry is down to the help that this enhanced service provides to schedule adherence – with this tool, operators can prove when buses arrive at each stop and whether they are running on time.

There was also some real interest in the GreenRoad Smartphone Edition from coach operators, this is down to the fact that coach drivers are already employing smartphone technology for a number of other purposes, plus there is generally one driver per vehicle.

All in all, we found that, in GreenRoad, clients are truly seeing some huge benefits, with the general consensus that GreenRoad remains the leading brand to work with!
