GreenRoad Names Ken Owyang Chief Financial Officer

REDWOOD SHORES, CALIF. – June 22, 2009 – GreenRoad, a global pioneer in improving driving behavior, today announced that Ken Owyang has joined the company as chief financial officer. Owyang brings more than 20 years of corporate finance leadership to GreenRoad. He has worked extensively in high growth environments, has experience in mergers and acquisitions and helped drive two successful initial public offerings (IPOs). Owyang will report to GreenRoad CEO Dan Steere.

“GreenRoad recently received an infusion of capital in a down economy because its service delivers rapid ROI and responds to enterprises looking for efficient ways to deploy their capital and address the challenge of unsafe and inefficient driving,” said Owyang. “GreenRoad is rapidly emerging as the leader in improving driving behavior, and I am excited to join the company at this pivotal stage in its development.”

“Ken’s expertise in strategic and financial planning and investor relations as well as his experience working with fast-growth companies will prove invaluable as we continue to evolve the GreenRoad Service, increase our partnerships and expand internationally,” said Steere.

Prior to joining GreenRoad, Owyang held successive leadership positions, including the role of chief financial officer, at SupportSoft Inc., a publicly-traded enterprise software and consumer services company. Earlier in his career, Owyang held senior finance roles at Marimba Inc., a publicly-traded enterprise software company, and Maxis Inc., a publicly-held entertainment software publisher, known for its best-selling series of Sims games. Owyang was instrumental in Maxis’ 1995 IPO – one of the Bay Area’s largest IPOs that year – and a subsequent acquisition.

A certified public accountant, Owyang holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and accounting from San Francisco State University.
