At the Energy Saving Trust Fleet Hero Awards last Thursday in London, Andy Cozens of GreenRoad stepped onto the podium to pick up the award for Innovation in Fleet Services and Systems Award.
The award recognises GreenRoad Smartphone Edition as a major technology breakthrough for fleets that cuts risk and reduces fuel consumption. The world’s first smartphone-based driver behaviour solution for fleets, GreenRoad Smartphone Edition encompasses many technology and engineering innovations to eliminate the need for professionally-installed telematics. As well as reducing costs, this particularly appeals to fleets with short-term leased vehicles.
Philip Sellwood, chief executive of the Energy Saving Trust, said: “I would like to congratulate GreenRoad on winning an Energy Saving Trust Fleet Hero Award. “GreenRoad impressed us with their Smartphone Edition of their driver performance solution. GreenRoad’s technology has been proven to reduce its clients’ driver risk and fuel consumption.”
The Energy Saving Trust Fleet Hero Awards celebrate public and private organisations that are successfully reducing fuel bills and lowering their carbon footprints. They also recognise companies that supply cost and fuel saving products or services to fleets. Now in its eighth year, the Fleet Hero Awards is a leading event in the green awards calendar.
