It’s a Wrap! 2011: Your Highlights

By David Ripstein - CEO

Well – 2011 has been a busy year for GreenRoad, from launching our ZFI partnership with Zurich, which quickly resulted in a very successful extension of the work that we have been doing with Iron Mountain and their fleet of 450 vehicles – and later in the year; City Link, to successfully signing up Bunzl, though our partnership with Marsh.

Our most exciting customer sign-up for 2011 was probably Stagecoach, who continue to roll GreenRoad out across their huge fleet of 6,500 across Scotland, England and Wales. We were incredibly pleased to become official strategic partners with RoadSafe’s Driving for Better Business in April, whilst announcing we had gained an additional 2,100 bus and coaches following the Eurobus show at the end of 2010 – firmly cementing us as leaders in the UK PSV market.

In May our impressive run with awards began. Firstly with the Van Fleet World Honours award for safety, followed by the Best Fleet Management System award at the Business Car Techies, rapidly escalating though the year with several additional short-listings, a handful of customer wins – and four more GreenRoad wins, culminating in the exclusive Prince Michael of Kent Award for Fleet Technology.

There have been several product updates throughout the year, from the new posted speed violation and idling heat map features to a new open integration platform and the development of new reports that enhance the GreenRoad service.  We have also seen the exciting arrival of a new CEO; Jim Heeger, as well as several other new senior executives to the GreenRoad management team.

Further news included the announcement of another new channel partnership with Towergate in July, the launch of a series of webinars on lowering emissions in August, our attendance at several key industry events in October – and just this week, the news that more than 20,000 buses and coaches on UK roads are now using GreenRoad’s service.

A successful year, I’m sure you’ll agree, but just you wait until you see our plans for 2012!
