Hundreds of Stagecoach employees across East Scotland have been recognised with GreenRoad’s Fleet Elite Status for the seventh year running.

The global performance measurement uses a safety and telematics system to measure professional drivers in the UK, Ireland, Europe, the Middle East, America, Australia and New Zealand.

Fleet Elite status is achieved when drivers achieve an average of five fewer events per 10 hours of driving over the entire calendar year. Examples of these events include harsh braking and acceleration.

314 Stagecoach employees achieved the award this year, which includes 18 gold status awards, 58 silver and 108 bronze. The remaining 130 drivers achieved Master Fleet Elite status, which means they have maintained their Fleet Elite rating for four or more consecutive years.

“To see so many of our drivers receive Master Fleet Elite status is a real testament to the quality of our team in East Scotland and their commitment to driving safely,” says Stagecoach East Scotland Operations Director David Frenz. “The scheme is great for our drivers and has real benefits for the environment too.”
