The GreenRoad Experience UK 2012 (Archive)
On Tuesday, a group of the UK’s top fleet professionals gathered at Rockingham Motor Speedway in the UK to be part of The GreenRoad Experience.
Hosted by Adrian Walsh, Director of GreenRoad’s strategic partner; Driving for Better Business, the jam-packed agenda included insights into the Ministry of Defence’s DRIVES project with GreenRoad, the big picture of Fleet Safety Legislation from Mike Appleby; expert at Houseman’s solicitors – and exclusive product updates from GreenRoad CEO, Jim Heeger. We were thrilled that long-time GreenRoad advocate, Dave Washbourne of Balfour Beatty Utility Solutions also attended to discuss in detail his success at managing driver risk with GreenRoad, as well as how useful he is finding GreenRoad on his smartphone – both the Central Manager App and the NEW GreenRoad Smartphone edition.
Other highlights of the day included the exclusive announcement of Iron Mountain’s Prince Michael of Kent Road Safety award, which was accepted by Rory Morgan and a detailed overview of GreenRoad’s NEW Advanced Fleet Tracking option from expert and Account Manager; Chris Deakin.
The afternoon’s round-table break-out sessions were particularly interesting. Focussed around engaging, incentivizing and rewarding drivers and implementing fleet policies, guests were encouraged to share their programs with the rest of the table. There were so many good ideas, but it was Ian Tomlinson of Sleafordian Coaches’ recommendation of developing a working project group that tipped the balance and won the top prize of a £50 Amazon voucher!
A lot of fun was had trialling the NEW GreenRoad Smartphone Edition out on the wet-grip area, with the rest of the event attendees able to look on from our conference suite over-looking the track.
